A lot of working moms and wives have approached me recently about a brick wall that they have ran into. The brick wall of NEGATIVE SELF IMAGE!

Now I’m not going lie and say that it is easy to overcome it, because it’s not. But what I can promise you that if you are persistent and consistent it does becomes significantly easier, once you find the root cause of it. 
.
It’s YOUR LUCKY DAY🍀, because I know the root cause of your negative self image ➡️ NOT TAKING ‘ME TIME’❗️ Yes, it’s that simple of a root cause, but it going to take time and effort to readjust.
.
So once upon a time you used to workout 🏋🏽‍♀️ , get your hair cut 💇🏽‍♀️ or nails done 💅🏽 , BUT THEN SOMETHING IN YOUR LIFE HAPPENED THAT CREATED THE BUG SHIFT, WHERE YOU STARTED TO PUT YOURSELF ON THE BACK-BURNER❗️❗️❗️❗️What was that eventWhat was that situationWhat happened that made you put yourself on the back-burnerBecause that right there IS THE FIRST CLUE ON WHY YOU PUT YOURSELF ON THE BACK-BURNER❗️❗️

Life happens❗️I get it, because life happens to me as well❗️But what you canNOT allow is the events of life to become so powerful and control your life and mind that you have a hard time reconnecting and having mind awareness TO HAVE ‘ME TIME’❗️❗️
.
➡️So take some time NOW and determine what that time is your life was that created that shift

➡️Make a list of the things that YOU ENJOY DOING
.
➡️GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST 3️⃣0️⃣ minutes EVERYDAY FOR SOME GUILT-FREE ‘ME TIME’

💥MIND BLOWING 🤯 isn’t it❗️

For many years I used to spend ALL my time loving everyone else around me, but something always seemed off. 🤔

Then 4️⃣ years ago, when I had my AH-HA moment I came to realize that the thing that seemed off was the FACT THAT I DIDN’T EVER TAKE TIME LOVING 🥰 MYSELF, SO HOW COULD I BE TRULY BE LOVING THOSE AROUND ME❗️❗️

I INSTANTLY STOPPED 🛑❗️FOUND THINGS THAT MAKE MY SOUL HAPPY AND THAT I COULD DO TO LOVE MYSELF❗️NOW I MAKE SURE THAT I DO SOMETHING EVERYDAY TO LOVE MYSELF 1️⃣st❗️❗️

Now don’t think 💭 too hard about this, because this could as simple as ➡️ WRITING IN YOUR JOURNAL, DRINKING A CUP OF TEA OR COFFEE, PRAYING, READING SOMETHINF SPIRITUAL, GOING FOR A WALK OR EVEN WORKING OUT❗️❗️

JUST FIND SPEND SOME GUILT-FREE ‘ME TIME’ 1️⃣st EVERYDAY❗️❗️

Yesterday was a MUCH MUCH MUCH NEED REST & RELAX EVENING, because not only did I feel like I was on empty. I felt like I had driven 92 miles on an empty tank ⛽️. NOT GOOD❗️❗️

So after work I took Walter to puppy playtime, so he could let out all the energy he had and socialize with other puppies 🐾 ❗️❗️
.
Once we got home, I didn’t even dare look at the kitchen 🍽 or the laundry , I plopped myself on the recliner with a cup of Turmeric Ginger and Peppermint tea ☕️, a heating pad, a fuzzy blanket and the Marcpro and called it an evening❗️❗️
.
Walter was tired after puppy playtime as well, so he went and laid on the couch 🛋 ❗️❗️
.
After about an hour of just chilling we both fell asleep😴 💤 for an hour, before Matt got home 🏡 ❗️❗️
.
💥💥💥LET ME TELL YOU ➡️I FELT REFRESHED AND RE-ENERGIZED❗️❗️💥💥
.
I still made it a point ❌NOT❌ to clean up the kitchen or fold the laundry , 💥💥BECAUSE TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY❗️❗️

💥💥WHAT CANNOT BE TACKLED TODAY, I’LL GET TO TOMORROW❗️❗️

💥💥THE DISHES WILL NOT GROW LEGS 🍽❗️❗️

I used to fill up my 24 hour day, as if I had 64 hours in my day. I won’t ever say no to anything or anyone. I was ALWAYS ON THE GO!!! I just assumed that taking me time away from the person who I was a caregiver to won’t fly too well with them. And I would just feel guilt asking them for 30 minutes to have me time. I never wanted anyone to think I was selfish and self centered, so I just shoved me time to the back burner.

⭐️UNTIL ONE DAY WHEN I SAID NO TO A FEW THINGS AND PEOPLE! ⭐️I MADE SURE THE PERSON WHO I WAS A CAREGIVER TO WAS ALL TAKEN CARE OF AS I COMMUNICATE TO THEM THAT I WAS GOING TO TAKE 30 MINUTES TO JUST SIT THERE AND MEDIATE. AND ALSO TALKING IT OUT WITH MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER I REALIZED THAT HE DIDN’T THINK I WAS BEING SELFISH, RATHER HE THOUGHT IT WAS SMART!!!

But also when I woke up I would feel HUNGRY, because if you think 🤔 about it the last time you eat is dinner or a night time snack and then DON’T FEED YOUR BODY. You boil water, but a chai tea bag into the cup of water and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then you take out the tea bag and add vanilla protein powder. Either mix it in a blender or a blender bottle. If you want it cold then add some ice cubes, if not ENJOY YOUR CAFFEINATED AND PROTEIN FILLED MORNING AND AFTERNOON KICK!!💥It tastes like a chai latte from your local coffee store!💥

I would always be rushing from one thing to the other, having more things on my plate than I had time. I would always tell myself that I cannot stop or slow because what are people going to think or me or what will they say. I felt that if I stopped or slowed down then I wouldn’t be a good caregiver.

THEN I IT HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS 🧱WHEN I GOT SICK 😷 🤒!!!!!!!!

IT IS NOOOOOOOOOT A GOOD FEELING WHEN YOU ARE FORCED TO STOP 🛑 BECAUSE YOU GET SICK 😷 🤒

I USED TO FEEL THESE EXACT THINGS BEFORE MY AH-HA MOMENT 4️⃣ YEARS GO!!

My alarm would go off and I would grab my phone and scroll through all my social media apps. While I was doing that my mind got the opportunity to say, ‘look what this person is doing’ or ‘look what that person has.’ Then my day would start off on a sour note. I would have a hard time being thankful the blessings in my life but would always be asking God for this that or the other. Because I would start my day off in the comparison note, I would then debate for the longest time if I should get out of bed or not. And by doing all of that I would set my morning back by 30 mins to a hour.

THAT’S WHY I CREATED THE LAUNCH 🚀 UP AND BE GRATEFUL GAME!!!

✔️I don’t snooze my alarm clock🚨  !!
.
✔️I don’t spend the first 10 mins of my morning looking at my phone 📱 screen when I am not even full awake!!
.
✔️I catch myself stopping 🛑 throughout the day to be thankful and grateful 🙏🏾for the small and big things that I am blessed with!! Because no blessing is ever too small!!

✔️I FEEL LIKE I OWN THE DAY INSTEAD OF THE DAY OWNING ME!!!! 💪🏽

Two nights ago I just couldn’t fall asleep my mind was racing about this, that or the other. I think the WHOLE NIGHT I slept two hours. Then Matt was having a hard time falling asleep as well. We both were thinking 🤔 or worrying about one thing or another. Finally gave up trying to sleep and got up at 4am, which is my normal time to get up.
.
I usually have a routine and a schedule of the things I’m going to eat and when I’m going to eat them, I CALL IT FUEL ⛽️ FOR MY BODY!!
.
But yesterday the STRUGGLE WAS REAL!!!!!
.

Because I hadn’t slept well, I was reaching for things that were HIGH IN CARBS!!!!
.
Because I hadn’t slept well, I was having a HARD TIME STOPPING MYSELF FROM EATING THING THAT WERE HIGH IN CARBS!!
.
I recently have noticed that I DON’T LIKE THE TASTE OF SWEET THINGS, but yesterday THAT IS ALLLLLLL I WANTED!!!! You know why, BECAUSE I HADN’T GIVEN MY BODY, MIND AND SOUL THE REST THAT IT NEEDED!!!!!
.
It’s IMPORTANT to put yourself first, without putting those you are caregiving to endangered.
.
GET AT LEAST 7 HOURS OF SLEEP, FOR YOUR MIND, BODY, SOUL, FOR YOURSELF AND THOSE THAT YIU ARE CAREGIVING FOR! DOING THIS WILL HELP YOU:

✔️natural want to EAT HEALTHY!

✔️help you feel RECHARGED up!

I’m a caregiver. I can’t laugh. I can’t make jokes.

THESE WERE ALL THINKS I USED TO THINK IN MY OLD CAREGIVING WAYS!

Being a caregiver before my AH-HA moment to being a caregiver now, I can totally see a difference in myself AND in the way of the person I am a caregiver to. I still remember that I use to be all focus, all serious and no fun and games, BECAUSE THAT IS HOW I THOUGHT A CAREGIVER SHOULD BE!

.
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
.
Don’t get me wrong there is a time and place to be serious to keep things under control, BUT THAT ISN’T ALL THE TIME, EVERYDAY!
.
Look at it this way if you are a caregiver to someone that has Alzheimer’s or Cancer, that’s a very serious situation to being with. Being in this situation you cannot forget that they are human and that once upon a time they enjoyed laughing as well. Just because the cloud of cancer or some other illness has rolled over you doesn’t mean that a little laughter cannot shine.
.
And if you are a caregiver for a child, what a great life lesson to teach them to laugh through life and understand that things aren’t going to work out as you planned, but the best way to keep going is laugh at it and know that there IS SOMETHING BETTER!
.
IN ORDER TO MAKE OTHERS LAUGH, YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO LAUGH 🤣😂🤣😂! IN ORDER TO MAKE YOURSELF LAUGH, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU PUT YOURSELF FIRST AND RECHARGE YOURSELF!

A little laughter can go A LONG WAY, for YOUR LIFE AND THOSE LIVES THAT YOU ARE A CAREGIVER TO!

Don’t have time for ME TIME?!

If so listen up! 
.
You are rushing around all day and think to yourself, Sunaina is always talking about taking some ME TIME, but I don’t have time. You feel like there isn’t ever silence in you house. You don’t know how to spend me time. 
.
TRUST ME I GET IT!!
.
I used to snooze my alarm for a hour and a half and then fly out of bed, get ready for work, stop at a coffee shop on the way, pray that I didn’t get red lights, forget lunch so I would have to pick something up, after work there was always something going on, if I had time I would workout and then I would end my night by sleeping at 1am. I FELT RUSH AND HAVING NO TIME!

.
Because I would snooze my alarm for a hour and a half that gave everyone else enough time to wake up and start their day. There would be dishes banging, blenders zooming and just everyone talking. HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO GET ME TIME IN ALL THAT NOISE?
.
Okay I have 30 minutes to myself and it’s finally silent, now what? I DIDN’T REALIZE THE THINGS I LIKED DOING JUST TO CHILL BECAUSE I WAS ALWAYS ON THE GOOOOOO!
.
When I had my AH-HA moment 4️⃣ years go things started to make sense. I started to wake up when my alarm clock  went off, so this way I had a hour and a half to myself in the morning AND IT WAS SILENT!! I quickly learned that just sitting there with a cup of tea or just reading a book WAS JUST ENOUGH FOR ME DURING MY ME TIME!
.
That’s why I created the FLY PROGRAM (First Love Yourself)
.
✔️I feel like I own the day instead of the day owning me!
✔️I feel that my me time recharged me, even after a good night sleep!
✔️♥️ that I can do NOTHING!
