MY ‘ME TIME’

Hey Ladies! I know that some times when we are finally able to make some ‘ME TIME,’ we don’t know what to do 😫!?!?!?!?

Here you will find a variety of things that I do for MY ‘ME TIME’ ON THE DAILY!

Honestly it can be as simple as drinking a cup of hot tea, reading a book, working out, or taking a nap. 🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨Remember you want to do something that will MAKE YOUR SOUL HAPPY, RE-ENERGIZE AND RECHARGE YOU!! 

So, don’t sit there and try to complicate your ‘ME TIME,’ because there are ENOUGH other things in life that are complicating already!

♥️HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!♥️

I LOVE LOVE LOVE laughing!! So for MY ‘ME TIME’ today I wanted to laugh, and I know that my two guys, Matt and Walter are he ones that make me laugh until I think I am going to pee my pants. So I did just that! I spend MY ‘ME TIME’ with the two loves of my life on this Valentine’s Day, so that we could share many laughs!

BEFORE I used to reach for chocolate, chips, cookies, candy, crackers ➡️ NOW I reach for A CEREAL BOWL OF MIXED FRUIT 🍇🍓🍒, ONE HANDFUL OF NUTS 🥜 or ICE CUBES❗️❗️

🚨🚨➡️➡️➡️THERE ARE HEALTHY WAYS TO COMBAT THE BINGE EATING. AND THERE ARE HEALTHY WAYS TO TAKE GUILD-FREE ‘ME TIME’.🚨🚨

02.12.19:

This week has been all about listening to my body, because my squats weren’t so hot on Saturday. I know that I need to give my body to recover, because I have been doing a super high intensity lifting program, with a lot of volume. With that being said, I listened to the tight muscles in my glutes, quads, hamstrings and ankles and sat on a heat pad with our Marc Pro stim machine on it for two hours. Let me tell you TAKING ‘ME TIME’ AND LISTENING TO MY BODY WAS SUCH AN INCREDIBLE THING FOR ME TO DO! I was able to then get up clean up the kitchen and get food into the slow cookers a lot quicker than I would have without listening to my body and taking ‘ME TIME’

02.10.19:

I absolutely LOVED MY ‘ME TIME’ today, because I ORGANIZED!! Yes, please go ahead and call be crazy, but I am that person who GOES NUTS if after a while things aren’t organized or if I feel that we have more than we need. I focused my organization skills particularly on su9ah LLC. As business owners, especially new entrepreneurs you are your own assistant, accountant, lawyer, receptionist, cleaning crew and basically everything! I like to give make ONE ‘ME TIME’ A MONTH be about focusing my energy on organizing. DID YOU KNOW THAT ORGANIZING ACTUALLY DOES THE FOLLOWING:

… It re-energizes you

… It gives you a clear view and direction 

… It gives you an opportunity to create an updated check list! If you know me, you know that I LOVE LISTS!! Matt teases me on how many lists I have and how I make a list for EVERYTHING!! You know what, that list has kept us prepared for many random adventures!

02.09.19:

ONE of the BIG THINGS I told myself that I wanted to change in my life, and not just as a new years resolution, but like a LIFESTYLE CHANGE was to LISTEN TO MY BODY!! So, with that being said today’s heavy squats at the gym SCREAMED that mt lower body needs a REST AND RECOVERY WEEK OR TWO!! So, for MY ‘ME TIME’ today I laid on the heat pad with our Marc Pro stim machine on HIGH!!!!!! While I was letting the stim machine run for a hour I downloaded the ROMWOD stretching app. So, for the next week or two on leg days and off days I will be walking on the treadmill and doing one or two of the ROMWOD stretching routines! This is going to be some GREAT ‘ME TIME’, because not only will I be doing a different type of workout, but I know that my mind will try to go nuts about not lifting heavy. So, controlling my mind and reminding my mind of all the benefits will be a mind workout in itself!

02.08.19:

For MY ‘ME TIME’ today I got an 8oz Oat Milk Hazelnut Latte. Not only was enjoying MY ‘ME TIME’ while drinking it, but I was also celebrating it being Friday and my tax return in my checking account this morning❗️❗️ ALL THINGS TO BE EXCITED ABOUT AND CELEBRATE❗️❗️

CELEBRATE THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE, BECAUSE THOSE MOMENTS ARE WHAT MAKE UP THE BIGGER MOMENTS IN LIFE❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️

02.07.19:

THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY EVE❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️ This has been one interesting week to say the least. I knew that today I wanted to spend MY ‘ME TIME’ by having some COMFORT FOOD❗️❗️So on my drive home I stopped and picked up some Mac n Cheese, my FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD❗️❗️After I mad and ate my two bowls of Mac n Cheese Walter must have know how exhausted I was, because he came and snuggled with me. He usually snuggles with Matt and will just lay by my feet, be he knew that mom needed some lovin’ today❗️❗️ As I was laying there Matt looks and me and say, “You look exhausted❗️❗️” I shook my head and agreed! I must have stayed up until 9:30/10:00pm watching TV with my guys, and then I was OUT! You know what I was happy and grateful that I listened to my body and did those things for MY ‘ME TIME,’ because without a working body nor am I good to myself, good towards Matt or Walter.

02.06.19:

Today was an rough day to say the least. There was an Police Officer who was shot and died in Milwaukee. That incident hit home, because Matt is an officer for Milwaukee himself. Then during work I went to a lunch and learn where I learned more about Alzheimer’s, which we just found out that my mother-in-law has. So, to say the least I was COMPLETELY, mentally, emotionally and physically, DRAINED! I knew that Walter was going to be full of energy as well, because during the days on Wednesdays he is in his crate longer. So I gave MYSELF ‘ME TIME’ by taking him to puppy play time and just hanging out and doing NOTHING! I didn’t go back home to pick up around the apartment or didn’t run errands, I JUST STAYED THERE AND DID NOTHING! Let me just tell you how INCREDIBLE it felt!

MY ‘ME TIME’ didn’t stop there. Once we got home, I didn’t even dare look at the kitchen 🍽 or the laundry , I plopped myself on the recliner with a cup of Turmeric Ginger and Peppermint tea ☕️, a heating pad, a fuzzy blanket and the Marcpro and called it an evening❗️❗️
Walter was tired after puppy playtime as well, so he went and laid on the couch 🛋 ❗️❗️
After about an hour of just chilling we both fell asleep😴 💤 for an hour, before Matt got home 🏡 ❗️❗️
💥💥💥LET ME TELL YOU ➡️I FELT REFRESHED AND RE-ENERGIZED❗️❗️💥💥
I still made it a point ❌NOT❌ to clean up the kitchen  or fold the laundry , 💥💥BECAUSE TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY❗️❗️
💥💥WHAT CANNOT BE TACKLED TODAY, I’LL GET TO TOMORROW❗️❗️

02.05.19:

Today for MY ‘ME TIME,’ I spend a significant amount of time rolling on the foam roller. It is VERY important to take care of your physical body in order to be there a 110% for your family! When I got home in the evening I felt as my body was stiff in my legs, butt and lower back. I knew that there was ONLY ONE solution to this, foam roller and stretching!!!! So, as Walter played with his stuffed animals I worked on unstiffing my body (Yes, I did just make up that word)! This not only helped with the stiffness, but also increased the blood flow in my body, and I FELT GREAT AFTERWARDS!!!!!

02.04.19: 

OMG! Did my personal gas tank go from FULL TO EMPTY within a matter of 4 hours! MAN I WAS EXHAUSTED!! I knew that I needed to refuel my personal tank, and at this point the ONLY thing that could do that was A NAP!! So I laid on the couch, with Walter by my legs and I sent my alarm for about a hour and a half out, because I knew I wasn’t going to sleep right away. But when I slept, I SLEPT!!! I was in this mega deep sleep, which was the BEST way for me to spend MY ‘ME TIME’!!!!!

02.03.19:

Today we decided that we were going to have our cheat day from eating healthy and clean. We picked our two favorite foods and INDULGED!! For lunch we had Mexican food from Guanajuato, in Milwaukee, WI, YUMMMMMMMM!!! Then for dinner to celebrate and enjoy the Super Bowl, we had pizza from a place we hadn’t tried before, Michaelangelo’s Pizza, in Franklin, WI. If you love sauce on your pizza THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!

02.02.19:

I felt so drained today and I KNEW my body needed some recharging not just for myself, but also for Walter and Matt! I knew that the ONLY way that would happen was to take a NAP, or 6! When I woke up from each of MY ‘ME TIME’ naps I felt incredible!! I also was able to notice my attitude and energy towards Walter and Matt after my naps, I WAS ME! Not crabby! Not overtired! Not short! Not soppy! I WAS ME! An because my body was so tired, I WAS ABLE TO SLEEP THAT WHOLE NIGHT THROUGH AFTER SO MANY NAPS!!

It’s been a long and crazy week with random off days, because of the weather. So to recharge myself today I gave myself ‘ME TIME’ and watched some mindless TV. Sometimes it’s just fun to sit back and laugh at your favorite episodes of  Friends, Family Guy or Shark Tank!

01.31.19:

Today was a rest day for me from the gym, so I TREATED MYSELF SLEEPING IN FOR 30 EXTRA MINUTES!! Let me tell you, IT FELT INCREDIBLE TO GIVE MYSELF THAT ‘ME TIME’ TO START THE DAY!

BUT YOU CANNOT LOSE FOCUS 👀 OF YOUR GOAL TO SPEND SOME ‘ME TIME’ TO REFUEL ⛽️ AND REENERGIZE YOURSELF!!

01.29.19:

YAY! Today I got a treat to treat myself with for MY ‘ME TIME’!!!! When the REALFEEL temp outside says NEGATIVE SEVENTEEN a nice warm cup of DD’s coffee with some French Vanilla makes a car ride significantly easier!

STAY WARM AND SIP ON YOUR FAVORITE TEA OR COFFEE DRINK!!

01.28.19:

I ABSOLUTE LOVE snuggling up on the man chair, when Matt isn’t home, with Walter and binge watching TV. One of the shows that I enjoy watching these days is SAY YES TO THE DRESS!! So today I spent TWO HOURS all snuggled up on the couch watching TV!!

Today I had some ‘ME TIME’ with a nice hot shower and ended it with cold water! Taking a shower like that everyday is important for me, because that is MY ‘ME TIME’! Also for some reason I feel like this is when God talks to me! But taking a hot shower or bath can be such a relaxing way to ENJOY YOUR ‘ME TIME’!

What is ‘ME TIME’ if you are so absorbed by technology? Sometimes for our ‘ME TIME’ we just need to FULLY UNPLUG!!

UNPLUG FROM OUR TABLETS!

UNPLUG FROM OUR COMPUTERS!

EVEN UNPLUG FROM THE TV!! 

There is one thing though, don’t try to think that you can unplug from everything for a full day, if you have never unplugged yourself. That is why I started off with 30 minutes and this morning had worked my way all the way up to 2 hours! Will it be easy? Off course not! But the more you do it, the easier it will get!

GIVE IT SHOT, AND UNPLUG!

01.26.19:

Sometimes when we have been doing a zillion things the best way to spend ‘ME TIME’ is with a good cry!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A GOOD CRY!! Sometimes a good cry feels as amazing as a good sweat!!!! So I ended my day with a NICE good cry, not because I am weak, not because I can’t handle things, JUST BECAUSE I NEEDED IT!!! Let me tell you it makes you feel like you took a mountain off your shoulders!! A good cry with a shoulder to to lean on and talk to during this helps you uncover things and overcome hurdles in life!! So, if you feel like a good cry coming on, HEY FOLLOW IT AND CRY IT OUT!!!

Remember that ‘ME TIME’ is about regrouping, reenergizing and putting yourself first, and a good cry WILL DO JUST THAT!

For MY ‘ME TIME’ today I enjoyed my FAVORITE ice cream MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP!! Yes, I had ice cream on an 8degree day!  HALO TOP ice cream is my personal favorite!

01.25.19:

I ended my Friday and enjoyed some ‘ME TIME,’ by sipping on my Homemade Yummy Smoothie!!

-Milk

-Peanut Butter

-Chocolate Protein Powder

-Banana

-2 cubes of ice

-Blend and enjoy!

TREATING YOURSELF TO HEALTHY TREATS IS A GREAT WAY TO SPEND ‘ME TIME!’

I LOVE to spend MY ‘ME TIME’ in the mornings with a well balanced breakfast to keep me full and energized for the day!

My go to breakfast is:

♦ Homemade Iced Chai -> boil hot water and steep a chai tea bag in there for 5 minutes. Pour into a blender bottle with one scoop of VANILLA protein powder and SHAKE! Add some ice cubes and you have yourself a health iced chai WITHOUT all that extra sugar. If you prefer your chai hot, leave out the ice cubes!

♦Two slices of Ezekiel Bread with cream peanut butter and a sprinkle of honey

OR

♦Gluten-Free Quaker Oats with a few blueberries

Getting your morning fuel doesn’t need to be complicated or unhealthy!!

01.24.19:

Today I took a walk to Colectivo and got myself a 7-layer bar! I am not much of a sweets person, but I LOVE the mixture of chocolate, peanut butter and coconut. YUM!! Around this time of the month, my body calls for a few more calories than normal, if you know what I mean. So, I listed to my body and had MY ‘ME TIME’!!!! 

Ladies, this process DIDN’T TAKE ME MORE THAN 7 MINUTES, but it helped recharged and re-energized me!

I ALWAYS say that you NEED to take AT LEAST 30 MINUTES a day to PUT YOURSELF FIRST! My Colective ‘ME TIME’ this afternoon took 7 minutes, so I still had 23 minutes left!!! YAY MORE ‘ME TIME’!!!

So, I took 45 minutes before I went to be to snuggle on the couch!!!! I had a cup of tea (mix of turmeric ginger, peppermint and chamomile) in my hand while I was snuggled up in a fleece blanket with a lavender candle burning in the background!

By snuggling on the couch before going to bed, it was easier for me to fall asleep, which is always a GREAT THING!!
